This is an art contest for OC's from a FFVII roleplay, Lifestream Unbalanced. While this contest is being run by Paws in Naughty Places, this is on a mule account so other's can help out as well.

I'm Paws in Naughty Places, or Paws. I'm 21, and, I have a small obsession over these particular OC's. Even though they aren't all mine, I still can't help but love these particular couples. Of course, you're probably asking, “Well, if you love all these couples, why do you have such a depressing name?” Well, that, my friends, is because all these couples seem to be in relationships that are quite hazardous for their health. Granted, some are more than others. But, isn't angst and drama what makes such stories and roleplay's interesting? ;D

Announcements

October 19th: Wooo! ;D Tomorrow night, 11:59pm EST is the last possible second you can enter! There are only 3 categories left hat we can't give out prizes to, being Samuru/Takara, Kai/Alzena, and chibi. I'm sure that will change, though! More details on judging will be put up tomorrow night!

October 2nd- There will not be an extension to the contest. All art work must be in by October 20th, 11:59pm EST. At the moment, we only have enough entrants to judge the Singles and CG entries. Only 3 more different people need to enter for the Overall Best/runner up prizes to be given out, so encourage your friends! x3

September 9th- :Sweat: I recently realized that the wording for the rules with number of entrants needs... Well, I screwed it up. :Sweat: Most of the contest, a category needs a minimum of 5 entrants, not entries. It would not be fair if the entire category was hogged up by only one artist. I'm sorry I didn't catch this sooner. But, now it's been clarified. The big prize needs a minimum of 12 entrants. Media contests need a minimum of 4 entrants, as is the same with the chibi category.

August 22- Hehe, Happy Birthday to Kaivi! But, besides that, there is going to be a referral contest, with 30k to the person who refers the most artist who submit entries! ;D See details below, in post 8, formerly the contest post.

August 2- A slight change in format for couples information. Each couples story is going to be replaced with a cute/sweet moment taken from the roleplay between the pair!

June 30th- Just for reference, Paws in naughty Places is going to be away starting July 14th. I'll most likely be back on July 29th. During this time, any questions about the contest should be directed to Kaivi Silverwing. =3 Thank you!

June 10th- Alzena and Kai's post is being redone. =3 Please bare with us while we update their information, as they have changed slightly due to the start of a new roleplay. ^^;;;;;

1. For the love of all things holy and sacred, DO NOT STEAL ART! This is an extremely serious offense. I will make sure art thieves are reported if I hear about this. This also means stealing credit for artwork as well. You must make the entries yourself! No copying, tracing, editing others artwork. It MUST be original, and it MUST be created for the contest, meaning no previous commissions/gifts can be entered here.

2. Be friendly! Have fun! There is no need to argue or get snippy with anyone here!

3. If you haven't played Final Fantasy 7, really, don't worry about it. None of these characters are in the game itself. They're from a future roleplay, and are children of some of the video game characters, or a video game character and an original character, or, two original characters. Though, I would STRONGLY suggest you play the game, because it is very awesome. =3 However, if you haven't watched Advent Children, or played Dirge of Cerberus, there might be a few spoilers, but that is just a warning. =3

4. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Ask questions! We will gladly answer them! But only if you ask in the thread. We don't need a flood of PMs. That would make me cry, and we don't want an upset Paws. (Or, at least I HOPE we don't want an upset Paws. >_>;; ) So, if you want to know anything from what a certain characters great grandfather's name is to what I ate for breakfast a week last Tuesday, go ahead!

5. Your submission(s) must be posted in the thread! THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF THEY ARE PMED!

There are two basic categories for this contest. Those would be couples and singles.

There is only one Singles Contest, and that is for Best Singles picture. There is a runner up prize for this. There must be at least 5 entrants for the singles contest to be judged. If there are less than 5, the prizes will not be given out. The picture must be of a single character, out of the characters that are listed. (Example: A picture of just Alzena, or a picture of just Samuru). Single pictures could also win something from an undefined category, but a single submisison can only win one prize.

A single picture may qualify for more than one category (Example: A CG chibi picture of Livvie and Laz would qualify for Overall Couple, Chibi, Best CG Art and Best Livvie/Laz.), but, a single picture can only win one prize. You may make multiple pictures, but that will be covered in FAQ.

So, now, onto what I'm looking for in each category, and what not.

Media: In all honesty, I really don't care what you use. I like pencil sketches, line art, CGed, watercolor, marker, color pencils... Well, you get the idea. I'll tell you, what does catch my attention most often is detailed pencil sketches and CG, but I can't speak for the other judges. ;D

Okay, so, here are the Categories:

Singles

Best Single- This is to be a picture of one character. Pose is totally up to the artist, but try to keep it in character for whoever you are drawing. There is also a runner up for this category. Example: Samuru is very cold, and a workaholic when he's not around Takara. So, having a single picture of Samuru where he is off relaxing and looking happy would not be very accurate. However, a picture where he looks rather serious would be acceptable. There must be at least 5 entrants for this category to be judged.

Couples
Best Couple- Obviously, this has to be a couples picture. This picture will have to beat out all the others in quality. The pose must be right for the couple, their outfits must be ones we have described/shown pictures of. A pose for one couple may not fit another! It needs to be the best for that couple, and, it needs to be better than all the others. There is also a runner up prize for this category. There must be at least 5 entrants for this category to be judged.

Best (Insert specific couple here)- We will give suggestions for poses for each couple in their own section, but you do not need to use them, as they are only suggestions. Obviously, a picture for Zenny/Kai would not be able to win the Samuru/Takara category, and so on. There must be at least 5 entrants for these categories to be judged.

Undefined
Undefined Categories can be either couples or singles.

Overall Best This goes for ALL entries. There must be at least 12 entrants in the contest for this prize to be awarded. This goes for the ABSOLUTE best entry in the contest, meaning it depicts the character(s) and their relationship best, high quality of art, and so on.

Best CG- This is the overall bets picture done in CG work. There must be at least 4 submissions from different entrants in CG for this prize to be given out.

Best Traditional- This is for the best picture used with Traditional Media, meaning Pencil sketches, paintings, marker drawings, etc. There must be at least 4 submissions from different entrants with traditional media done for this prize to be given.

Chibi- Cute as a button! The only thing that is required for the picture to be in the chibi category is that it be a chibi! It could be a couple or a single! It can be happy, sad, angry, funny, whatever! Anything, as long as it's the characters we have given, and they are chibified! There must be at least 4 submissions from different entrants for this prize to be given out.

A side note for this couple: Kai and Alzena, or what I refer to as ZenKai, is my own little obsession. This couple is what inspired me to start the contest in the first place. Love them. <3 While their story may change from storyline to storyline, the general idea of their love is pretty much the same. It may be like the good old “Knight in shining armor” nonsense, but it works so well for these two. So, love them. <3 This contest wouldn't be happening without these two.

As a side note, yes, they are the reason why Noxious Love was given this name. However, due to the fact that we restarted the original roleplay they are from, we have changed them around slightly. =3 Trust me, as stories go, these guys have a rather upsetting one, but I will not bore you with unnecessary details.

General Information
Name: Kai Yamagami
Nicknames: N/A
Age: 23
Likes: Alzena, green tea, music, training, meditation, keeping the old traditions
Dislikes: Almost anything that upsets Alzena
Personality: Kai is a very polite young man, more than what one would expect given his profession. There are times that people wonder if he is even cut out for it... that is until he starts to fight. He is vicious in battle, particularly when he has someone or something he is defend. He is very protective of those he holds dear, and would have no qualms with dying for them if it would ensure that they would be safe.
His Story: Born the youngest male of the Yamagami family, a known mystical family, it was expected of Kai to work in the family temple along side his older brothers and sister. However, Kai found himself wanting a different calling. He didn't want to live and die in a temple, like the rest of his family. He wanted adventure, excitement. Little did he know he would find it in one of the more peculiar places. A few months before his 8th birthday, a very peculiar pair of patrons came to visit his family's temple, to speak with his father and mother. The only reason Kai even really noticed them was their peculiar coloration, considering they were both crimson haired and blue eyed, a rarity in Wutai. The conversation between his parents and the pair didn't last too long, and the two red heads left shortly after.

As they left, the woman smiled at him, giving him a small nod. He thought nothing of it, but after that day, his physical and mystical training increased significantly. It wasn't until his 16th birthday that he was told the reason for this. Many years ago, the red haired woman had saved the life of his father during an old gang fight. His father had said that one day, he would repay the woman for her generosity. Being that Kai was the most ambitious of the group, Jubei had suggested that his youngest step in for his debt. The youngest boy was stunned, though also rather excited by the prospect. He would finally get out of being stuck as a temple attendant. Shortly before his 18th birthday, the red haired man, named Miki, reappeared, to take him to his new life, as a member of her gang.
He found out later that the red haired woman, Mika, had died in a raid by the Blue Dragons, and that Kai was going to be set as a body guard for the time being. He would protecting Mika's son and daughter, Raidon and Alzena. He did his job well, though it soon ended when the pair's father showed up to take them with him. Since then, Kai has been working on improving his skills, so that another task can be allotted to him. He got his wish, as Miki sent him to go aid Raidon in setting up a satellite gang in Edge.

General Information
Name: Alzena Miyamoto
Nicknames: Al, Zen, Zenny
Age: 19, but she has been passing her self off as older for quite some time
Likes: Kai; Taking advantage of Kai; Booze; Cigarettes; Noodles, Cursing; Sleeping in; Her twin brother, Raidon; Computers; Hacking; Yanking on her brother's ponytail; Cuddling
Dislikes: Her Dad; Samuru; Perverts; Strict People; Threats; Getting overly emotional; Crying in front of others; Laziness; Alcoholics; Waking up early
Personality: Alzena is extremely boisterous and outgoing. She can be extraordinarily loud at times. There are times where she curses every other word, but she is capable of controlling it if the need comes along. While she is generally a sweet person, she rarely shows this side anymore. The only people who see this side to her anymore are Raidon and Kai, and even then she still tries to put the up tough girl front as much as possible. She is definitely a worrier, and as much as she hates to admit or accept it, she cares far too much about her family than she would like to admit. To outsiders she can seem quite rude, but it is mainly her own form of self defense so she doesn't let too many people get close.
Her Story:Alzena was born to the pair of rather close friends. She grew up with her twin brother Raidon, and for the earlier years of her life, she only knew her Uncle Miki as a father figure. Her mother, Mika, had been a Turk, and when she had become pregnant, she didn't tell Reno. Instead, she quit her job and wound up going back to Wutai. She was rather happy when she was younger, except that she and her brother were constantly picked on since their parents were not married. But, she always tried to ignore it to the best of her ability.

Unfortunately, it grew even harder for her when their mother passed away when she was 7. Her hopes of ever having a normal family had been completely crushed. At the young age, Zenny began to grow a lot more rambunctious, and quite a bit more aggressive, since she had been tired of all the teasing from the other children. One day seemed like quite a god send, though. A red haired man in a sloppy blue suit like the one she had seen her mother keep around from her days as a Turk approached Raidon and herself, asking about their parents. When they explained everything, Reno instantly recognized the name of their mother, and realized the entire situation that had happened. He asked if he could talk to their uncle, and after doing so, they came to the arrangement where he wound up taking both Alzena and Raidon back to Edge to live with him.

Alzena thought things would be different in Edge. For a while, it was. She was able to make a few friends who didn't judge her as harshly as the children in Wutai had. But, she quickly realized her father's own bad habits. While, her mother had done similar things, her father seemed to be much worse. It only upset her more to see him doing such things. At the age of fourteen, she had decided she was going to run away. Part of her wanted to go back to Wutai, to see if she could stay with her Uncle Miki again. But, she figured if she couldn't do that, she would only be sent back to her Dad. Instead, she decided to stay in Edge, living under the radar. She only let her brother know her plans, since she knew she could trust him with that information. She began to make some false documents so it would be easy to find a place to live and for her to get a job, along with hide from her father. At the age of fifteen, she finally got fed up enough to go through with it, after finding her father passed out on the floor of the living room. She packed a few bags, stole her father's most recent paycheck, and ran off with only a word to Raidon. Since then, she's been living in a small, run down apartment and working at a bar as a cocktail waitress.

Physical Description
Hair: Just past the shoulders, reddish/orange
Eyes: Light blue
Skin Tone: Fair/Very light tan
Height: 5'6
Weight: 134 lbs
Body Type: Alzena is more of an average body size, and her waist is not very well defined. She is rather busty though (I would say she's about a D cup... x____x ), and tries to keep herself in moderately good shape.
Tattoos/Markings/Scars: Eventually, she'll get Kai's name tattooed on the back of her upper right thigh.
Jewelry: Large silver hoop earrings
Clothing: Zenny's main outfit is something along the lines of this. None of the flowers, no gloves or choker, either. The corset shouldn't be as open in the front, and the lace should be red rather than black. Her skirt should be black as well, ending mid thigh, and it should have the small frill on the bottom of it like the corset has. The frill on the corset and skirt should be red. She wears red and white striped stockings, along with knee high black leather boots, and the red laces go up the front. She also has red and white striped fingerless gloves to match the stockings.

The only changes to this outfit is that the shoes, shorts, and shirt should be the same color of dark pink. The suspenders and belt should be black, and it should be dark pink in place of the purple on the leg warmers.
Alternative Outfit: [X] This minus shoes, socks, and stockings, and in red instead of the blue/gray color. The ribbon should be blue instead of yellow.

Feel free to create design an outfit for Alzena if you don't like any of the ones she has. Please, keep to these general guidelines for her clothing:

1.Alzena tends to wears things a little on the skimpier side. But, she does keep some sense of modesty to her. While she may show off her stomach, legs, and arms, she would never wear anything that shows off too much cleavage, or anything that would reveal any of her undergarments.
2.She likes black, red, blue, and gray. On occasion she will wear pink and purple. Pretty much anything besides that is out of the question, unless it's small amounts or part of an outfit she likes.
3.Alzena HATES traditional clothing. I cannot stress the word hate enough. However, she likes off beat versions of kimono's.
4. She prefers skirts and dresses to shorts and pants. That doesn't mean she wont wear them, one of her outfits has her wearing shorts. It simply means she more often wears skirts and dresses.

Name: Samuru ShinRa
Nicknames: Sammy, Samu-kun
Age: 21, By a technicality
Likes: His Taki-chan, Work, Money, Blond Floozies, Pulling Pranks on Various Turks, Yakisoba
Dislikes: Laziness, His Mother's Cooking, Alzena, His Father's Threats
Personality: Samuru is very much a workaholic. When he is not around Takara, or his twin sister Tomiko, he spends his time working. Around his siblings he is polite, and friendly, and tries to make sure his sisters are well taken care of. He tries to respect his father the best he can, even though he tends to differ in opinions than the man. He also tends to be spoiled by his mother. He does have a playful streak to him, but it is only brought out by Tomiko or Takara. He cares deeply for Takara, and tends to be a little dominant, and very overprotective of her, for very good reasons. To outsiders, he is very cold. He can have a bit of a cruel streak in him, along with being extremely cocky at times.
His Story: Samuru and his twin sister were born the oldest children of Rufus and Reina ShinRa, Samuru being older by. Since Reina was not entirely fond of girls, she put a great deal of effort into raising Samuru. At the age of four, he began to learn swordsmanship under his mother's tutelage, and a few years later how to shoot rifles from his father. Spending a lot of time around Reno and Rude in his younger years, Samuru became quite the prankster, and began learning a few unsavory habits. When he was six, he managed to escape from his mother for a while, and decided it would be a good idea to sneak up on Rude and Reno. He pounced Rude from behind, who, unknowingly that it was Samuru, knocked him over, and he managed to slice his cheek on the edge of a table. The boy was left with a scar, and his mother became even more protective of him. He spent a great deal of time with home tutors, and a few months before his 16th birthday, he became Vice-President of the ShinRa Corporation.

Hair: Like Tseng's , except he is blond.
Eyes: His eyes are narrow, almond shaped, and brown.

Body Type: Tall and Thin. Very, very, very little muscle tone.

Clothing:
Work: Like the male Turk uniform, except it's white, and rather than having a zipper, there should be 3 black buttons. Black tie and shoes, and his shirt is white as well. It is also a bit baggy on him as well.
Casual: He wears a black, long sleeved, collared dress shirt, with a dark gray vest. The shirt is tucked in, but the vest is long enough to go over the waist of the matching gray slacks. The vest has three black buttons. He wears a black tie as well. His shoes are black leather dress shoes.

Name: Takara Tseng
Nicknames: Taki
Age: 19
Likes: Samuru, relaxing with her friends, training, reading, making sure her father is pleased with her, doing her job, computers, tea, playing tricks on Reno
Dislikes: Samuru's grandfather, being judged unfairly
Personality: Generally a very sweet girl, Takara does have a distinct mischevious streak. She is physically strong, though generally a bit more passive personality wise. She doesn't like to offend people, and always wants to make sure people are happy. However, there is a bit of a different side, which is when she is in "Turk Mode," as she calls it. Rather than being rather open and outgoing, she becomes cold and calculating, something she learned from her father. She is very dedicated to her work. Though it doesn't often come out, she worries quite a bit for those she cares about, particularly Samuru. While she doesn't admit it to anyone except him, she enjoys being his and takes great pride in it.
Her Story: The only child of Xian Tseng and Aerith Gainsborough, Takara was created as an expirement to restore the Cetran race. However, due to the fact that her twin died, as she was told, she was no longer needed. The girl stayed in the laboratories until she was 3 years of age, when she was taken to meet her father for the first time by Elena, her adopted mother. Takara and her father bonded instantly, a bond that still remains. SInce then, she lead a rather pampered and slightly spoiled life, as her father would do anything for her. When she was a teenager, Takara asked her father to train her, so that she could be a Turk like her Father. It took a little while to get him to agree, but she was finally able to get him to. He trained with her katana, as well as with various other weapons so that she would know how to defend herself should the need arise. It took until she was 18 that she was finally accepted as a member of the Turks. She's been working ever since, enjoying every minute of it that she can.

Physical Description
Hair: Like Aerith's though a jet black hue rather than auburn. It is kept back in blue green ribbons, to match the color of her eyes.
Eyes: Blue green, like the color of the Lifestream
Skin Tone: Lightly tanned
Height: 5'6
Weight: 130 lbs
Body Type: Fit would be the best word. She is lightly muscled, though more sleek and slender.
Tattoos/Markings/Scars: She has a tattoo on the back of her neck which reads N30C37R4 001.
Jewelry: On her left ring finger, she has a mythril ring set with a rather large emerald which is the same color as her eyes. To the sides of the emeralds are a few small diamonds, only meant to accent the green stone in the center.
Clothing: When Takara ia working, she will wear the standard Turk uniform, shown here, with three gold buttons holding the jacket shut instead of a zipper.

When she is wearing something a bit more casual, she will wear an outfit like this, much like her mother before her. However, where Aerith's is shown pink and white, Takara's is blue and black respectively. Around her waist she wears a black belt and she finishes it with a pair of black boots.

Another casual outfit of hers is shown here, which are the clothes she was given after her attack. She has a brown jacket that goes over top as well, to keep herself from being too chilled.

Trying for a slightly more traditional feel, Takara has this little number hidden in her closet. While she doesn't normally like red, she loves the way it looks on her. It is also one of the few times one will her with her hair out of it's signature braid.

An odd variation on an old classic, this kimono is similar to one that she owns. Rather than violet, it is a baby blue color. The cherry blossom designs are still upon it, as well as the similar cherry toned obi.

When the Turk is practicing her swordplay with her father, she is dressed in this, an homage to the other warriors in her family. Her hair is usually pulled back into a ponytail rather than loose, as long hair has a tendency to impede one's movement.

This is an outfit that Samuru picked out for her. She's rather embaressed to wear it, since she thinks the skirt is far too short, but she will wear it around him and him alone.

Finally, an elegant dress of hers, for when she has to attend fancy parties. It's very rarely that she pulls it out, since there is very little demand for it.

Alternate outfits are perfectally acceptable. Just be sure to remember these few things.
1.) Takara only wears pants when she is working or training. Any other time, she's seen in a skirt. If the skirt is too short, in her eyes, she is going to be exceedingly embaressed to wear it. So, no skirts shorter than mid thigh. Preferably flowy skirts rather than mini skirts, as mini skirts are terribly hard to fight in.
2.) While she will occasionally bare her middrift, she gets rather flustered to do so, as she views it as too much skin. This is the same with really low cleavage shirts. Takara is modest. She doesn't wear anything overtly risque.
3.) Being that her father is Asian, she has grown up with Asian culture being apart of her life. She has drawn some of her tastes in clothing from that fact. Be sure to remember that.
4.) If given the choice, Takara will take a sturdy pair of boots to pumps any day of the week. The only time she will not is if she is dressed up exceptionally formally. Socks are generally prefered to stockings, but if the skirt is short, she will wear stockings.
5.) She doesn't like tight clothing, as it impedes her ability to move. However, if it is fitted, that is different, as it still allows for movement. Takara loves fitted clothing, but not tight.

General Information
Name: Lazarus Valentine
Nicknames: Laz
Age: 15
Likes: Books, Libraries and Livvie Highwind, spring in Wutai. His favorite story is Beauty and the Beast.
Dislikes: Erebis, his demon self, disappointing people, and the Lord of Wutai.
Personality: Laz is a very sweet, bookish guy with bad health. He loves with all his heart, but doesn't think anyone will be able to see past either of his handicaps, Erebis or his breathing problems. He knows he has a lot of growing up to do, but he knows Livvie will be the woman he grows old with.
His/Her Story: Lazarus was still born, and his mother used the phoenix summon to bring her baby back... it's still unknown what she sacrificed so he could live, but she did say after she nearly died, that the Phoenix reckoned her debt paid.

Laz tends toward the contemplative lifestyle, spending a lot of his time with books and the monks of Wutai. He prefers the family's crimson, wearing robes of that color, and he uses a staff, a Life materia embedded in it's only slot. He's had a happy life, sticking to the palace and libraries rather then venturing out, and is really quiet, not associating with his parents or siblings often. He isn't much of a fighter and is happy being a healer.

Hair: Long and very dark brown, cut a but shorter in the front then the back, but not quite short enough to be bangs.
Eyes: Gray, but they glow red in the center
Skin Tone: Very. very pale... think his father

If you are finding yourself adventurous, you can attempt his demon form. Like his father, Laz has some demons of his own, though the only one he knows of right now is his Erebis Limit. He transforms into an incarnation of Chaos, he grows to 7' tall, completely black with clawed hands and feet, his legs bend backward like that of an animal, and he wears a white, expressionless mask over his face. His eyes glow red. Erebis has a sexual attraction to Livvie and often tries to claim her if he is let out.

Personality: Livvie is a very positive person. While, she worries about her loved ones a lot, she tries to keep a good spin on life the best she can. There are times where she can be extremely brave, but more so out of ignorance than anything else. While she is probably the quietest of her family, we must keep in mind of who her family is. She tends to be extremely outgoing, always friendly and polite, and rarely cusses.
Her Story: Olivia is the youngest of the Highwinds. While she was growing up, she often opted to help her mother out, learning how to cook and clean. Since both of her parents are mechanically inclined, Livvie picked up that trait, though tended to lean more towards repairing and maintaining ships at a distance. She has lead a rather happy, though not entirely quiet life thus far.

Hair: Long, way past her shoulders, straight blond hair, with bangs to cover her forehead.
Eyes: Big, round, blue eyes
Skin Tone: Fair
Height: 5'5''
Weight: 110 lbs
Body Type: Extremely thin, not very curvy.

Jewelry: A necklace that Lazarus gave her, which she would never take off. It's made of Carnelian beads, and has a carnelian phoenix pendant hanging in the middle of the sculpture. Look to previous artwork for other references.

Wah, it's a mini post! But, this is simply for the details for the referral contest. All you need to do is let artists know about the contest, and if they decide to enter, just tell them to throw in that you told them about the contest! So. Paws is going to try and answer some of your questions before you ask. While, I do like answering questions, I don't like having to repeat answers over and over again. =3 So, here you go.

So, when does the contest end?

October 20th, at Midnight EST. That means the minute it turns October 20h on the east coast. That would also be 11PM CST, 10PM MST, and 9PM PST. See, I even give it for all the time zones so you don't have to convert it yourselves. =3 Huzzah!

What if there is an extension?

If there is an extension, I will give you notice by September 2nd! It will be in the announcements, as I am not going to track down everyone!

Alright. Thanks! So, how many pieces of art can I enter?

As many as you want! There is no limit on entries! It would probably increase your chances of winning, too! But, also bare in mind, I am looking for quality, not quantity!

Hmh. Okay then. Could I design an outfit for one of the character's?

Well, it depends on what outfit you have in mind, and for which character. It must be something they would actually wear. Livvie would never wear anything too fancy. Zenny would never wear anything too conservative, or yellow, for that matter. Get the idea?

Okay, I guess I do! What if I need more reference pictures?

We have 'em! If we don't, well. We'll find more! Don't worry about that! ^^ Just let us know, by posting in the thread.

Entry fee?

Hell no! Never! There is definitely no entry fee!

What if I would want to do a collaboration piece with someone?

That is perfectly acceptable! However, it is up to you and whoever else you are working with to split up the prize(s) if you win. That's your own business.

Do I have to chose a category?

No. Just create a piece of whatever single character, or couple that is listed. We will figure out what category it will fit under. However, if you are looking for a particular category, feel free to mention that in the notes.

Do I have to host the pictures?

Only until I can put them in my Photobucket! ^^ This includes WIP's.

Okay. So, how about this. Can I take a picture of my piece, or does it have to be scanned?

Well. I'm not going to say I can stop you from doing this, but I will say that even the best pictures look kind of awful if you only take a photo of them, rather than scanning them. ^^;;;

Can I do avatar edits of the character's?

No.

What about pixel dolls?

Dolls are acceptable, so long as you created the base yourself.

Chibis? Plushies?

Oh my goodness. I love chibis, and I love plushie drawings! Those are ABSOLUTELY accepted. Plushie drawings qualify for the chibi contest as well. ^^

Can I create a comic strip?

Well, if you feel you've gotten to know the characters well enough, go right ahead. I'm really not expecting this, though. ^^;;

Can I donate, to help contribute to your prizes?

Absolutely! Help is always loved! ^^ I will add more categories if I have more funds! =3

Well, what would a contest be with out Judges? ;D Of course, I (Paws) will be one of the judges, but let me introduce a few of my friends.

Kaivi Silverwing

Kaivi is the insane genius who came up with the roleplay where all these lovely characters originate from, Lifestream Unbalanced. =D She is one of my favorite people to roleplay with, and has gotten me thoroughly addicted to that storyline. Kai and Takara are both her creations, amongst with only gods know how many other characters she has in there. She has also chipped in her G-Blade and G9 Laptop for some of the prizes, and allowed the use of her guild mule for the contest! So, give her lots of luff!

TionneStrife

Tionne is yet another insane genius. She is the co-owner of Lifestream Unbalanced, and yet another person I absolutely love to roleplay with. Lazarus is her creation, amongst a huge number of other characters in the storyline. I don't think I know anyone who knows more about FFVII than she does. >_>;; Give her lots of luff as well!

The Karaoke Ninja

The Karaoke Ninja is an amazing roleplayer, who also happens to be in Lifestream Unbalanced. While, she doesn't take quite the character load the rest of us do, she has a good understanding of these characters. She also tends to come up with some insanely awesome characters. =3 Give her lots of luff as well!

Deicide Goddess

Deicide Goddess is my absolute best friend in real life. She is an amazing artist, funny, and always knows how to make me smile. I happen to be the most amazing person she has ever met, as well. ;D I have to agree, though. She happens to be the most amazing person I ever met. At least, until it comes to the fact about kittens, and how they do not belong in blenders. >_>;; Besides that, you need to bow down and worship her, bishes!
