_ __ _________Your Host For The Evening

Name: Brad Lee
Birthday: December 21, 1975
Age: 32
Height: 6'4"
Build: Athletic, leanly muscled but not obviously when clothed. He is not a bish.
Ethnicity: Italian

Eye Color: A curious shade of blue; indigo.
Hair Color: True black, the type that has blue/purple undertones.
Hair Style: Near shoulder length and shaggy, often brushed forward; can be pulled into a small ponytail to 'clean up.'
Jewelry: He doesn't wear any, but that's not to say he wont if he received some.
Piercings: None.

Status: Single
Orientation: Pansexual
Type: Doesn't have a set type. He doesn't seem inclined to be anything more than professional with people who are significantly younger than he is.

Personality: As a Host, Brad is extremely presonable, very kind and complimentary. He has a bit of a flirty edge, but that's mostly because the majority of what he says can be taken in more than one context. The man will do just about anything to please the Customer; even if it's something out of his comfort zone, he will do it with an easy smile that insinuates he's quite enjoying all he does. Brad is quite good at what he does - he is the best and worst type of workaholic around - to the point he's earned ire from some of his less impressionable co-workers.

As an individual outside of work...you'll just have to find out.

Position: Host

References: [X] [X]

F.A.Q.
These are things revealed through RP...if you have not personally found or heard this information through an IC encounter, it is considered OOC.

Brad is old...
Yes, he's one of the oldest in the Club, but with age comes experience! *bricked*

What's with his name? "Brad Lee?"
If he chooses to share that information with you, count yourself a trusted friend.

What's all this Bra-stuff? Brayote, Brenta, Bran...?
Fandoms. Brad + Coyote, Brad + Kenta, Brad + Viran/Searan (I myself wasn't around for that one XD), etc.

Why is Brad first?
He's the 'seme' in the relationship.

Speaking of relationships...he was married?!
Yes. Two people currently know he has an ex-wife.

WAIT...BRAD HAS A KID?!
Shhh. This is a very personal thing that NO ONE knows ICly.

Well...what'd he do before Searan's?
Brad was and still is an architect. Living in a time where jobs aren't as plentiful and design isn't high in demand just yet, he has taken up a side job for something to do.

'For something to do?'
He's not hurting for money. He simply does not like to be idle.

Huh...why is he so two-faced, from his Host persona to himself?
Brad is a workaholic. He takes his job very seriously and puts forth every possible effort to be the best at what he does - in this case, he strives to be the best Host he can be. He exercises traits he thinks are desirable to attract Customers and then does the best he can to give the Customer a memorable evening. (Brad gets a lot of flack for this!)

So why is he so...whatever he is when he's not a Host?
Most of his behavior stems from something to do with his father; the reasons have not currently been discussed ICly. He's not a mean person, he chooses not to get close to people because it's an inconvenience to be distracted from his work. If you can dent that armor of his, though, you will have a loyal and steadfast friend.

Does he still stay in contact with his family?
His father and mother are both deceased; he and his younger sister currently live in New York.

_ __ _________Let Me Pencil You In

Type: Shop/MSNM/AIM
Status: Open~! (MSN/AIM only available after 5PST M-F, weekends are up for discussion)
It'd be easier to RP in thread at this point, as neither AIM or MSN are reliable. My PC likes to eat messages. If you'd like to try MSN/AIM anyway, please note that if I don't respond, there's a good chance I never got the message!

Type: Semi-Lit
Status: Open~!
I do work in other shops, and I have a few RP required pets of my own, so please just ask. :3 I can generally juggle several RPs without an issue (I had 20+ going at one point!), but I'd rather be honest in case I've bitten off more than I can chew.

Type: Lit
Status: Limited
My favorite type of RP. *w* Please ask if interested. Note that this type of RP usually can't be done by the seat of our pants; a goal or a plot device is best. :3

Please Note: I will reply at least once a day, and in often cases, several times. I will inform you if I will be unable to post for a day should something come up.

Moving. Is there a more loathesome and arduous chore?

Maybe job searching. Hmm. It's a close call.

Approximately a week ago, I found myself on the last of the wages I had saved. Freelance isn't what it used to be, especially in my business; people want quick, cheap solutions, and sadly, they often get what they pay for. I refuse to correct other's mistakes, and this has possibly been my downfall for my profession. Is it ironic that one who builds things would refuse to reconstruct that which has fallen? I think not.

Three days ago I was approached by a jaunty man (and I say 'jaunty' in the most polite way possible), who introduced himself as Searan and offered myself a job in practically the same breath. Mind you, this was not a commission for an architect, oh no. Searan owns something called a Host Club, and he asked for me to be a Host.

To be paid to go on dates.

Had I been a lesser individual I would have laughed and been on my way. As it were, I am penning this from my personal room above the Club itself. Irony has bit me in the posterior this time, and my dearest sister made that oh so clear. I called her to ask to store some of my items and help me move, and when I described my job to her...she laughed. And laughed. And continued to laugh so that I hung up on her and gave her up for dead. She called me two hours later and, sounding as though she had just composed herself, agreed to help.

That was a mistake. I'd never seen her laugh so much in one day in all my years. She actually had to sit down more than once due to a stitch in her side and breathlessness.

No, such irony is not lost on me, much as I may like to act otherwise. Now I'm being paid to be who I was; the only hard part is letting go of my pride, and that's not saying much since most of my dignity has already long since been stripped of me. Peace and I, we coexist, but even I am not exempt from being rattled from time to time.

My only concern now? That my neighbors aren't too rowdy. I have a feeling I wont be so lucky, and I don't mean by musical means.

--I'm being called to be fitted for a suit. Perhaps I can laugh at myself for all this. Perhaps not. Then again, I might just surprise myself.

Stranger things have happened. - BLF

May 06

I've often been accused of jumping head first into the deep end. Working here has made that apparent to me. Mind you, this is not a bad thing, it simply takes time to acknowledge that one might drown if they don't start flailing back to safer waters.

I haven't seen Searan since I was fitted, but I did have a run in with his apparent lover...

Ah, first things first. Did I not mention jumping headlong?

I met a charming little fellow by the name of Minoru on my first day here, who has an adversion to calling people by their first name and barely seems legal to be here. He's one of those rays of sunshine that make you smile regardless of if you want to or not. Due to some...vague events, I happened to meet a waiter named Kenta shortly after. There's no larger impression than being made to hug a young man and make him smile by it. To say that I am amused by this is an understatement.

My memory is already cottonballed with the many faces I have met...a quiet pianist named Kazuki, who owes me a song - the bartender, Ferdinand, who is not fooling me with that smile (it's my job to do that, after all, I think I'm an expert on that) - a girl named Money Mei, who seems she'd rather see me castrated and left for dead than employed here. (Sadly, I am not one to exaggerate.) The doctor, Koen, whom I have only seen in passing as with Cecil and SKim, and a kind young man in training named Remi.

It stands worth mentioning that Mei scared one of the twins, Viran, so badly that he hid in my room. He is also Searan's lover, and that I found myself in a state of undress while he hid in my bed was problematic, considering Mei refused to leave my door all the while. Viran fell asleep thereafter; he seems to be hounded by his twin and Ferdinand, but I have not met the brother. How I manage to put myself in these positions is precisely why I prefer to work alone. That is moot, however...

I've met a few customers, and their reactions are mixed at best. I first met the patronizing Lev (and I say that because the man seems attached to Ferdinand by the hip), who is what I'd expect of a customer, mostly polite and flirty. Then...ah, I don't know if I'd call the woman I met a customer, but since I got her a beer, it can be considered. I did not catch her name, but she definitely didn't want to be there. I had a strange meeting with the shy Bernard, he's quite adorable when he's flustered. Today I met the sweet and earnest Hae-Min, who was a saving grace when--

Jumping ahead again. But then, all these days seem to clamor into one.

Around the time I met Lev, I met Searan's secretary, Coyote. He was displeased by my treatment of a customer and so, stepping to the podium of my position and offering him a dance instead (for that was what seemed to have him in such a fuss), he obliged. Banter took a turn for the worse and it would appear he hates me. It would only appear this way as I'm fairly sure Coyote's drunken antics suggest otherwise. QUITE otherwise. I wont go into details, but suffice to say, he has as much use for me as Mei. This is where I met Hae-Min, and thank goodness for her presence. I may have been mauled by Coyote otherwise, and not in a good way.

If that wasn't enough heckling for one day, I made up for it this eve. I met a friendly young waiter named JJ a while ago and got to speak with him again today. He's smitten with our newest host - a rare look of a man named Thanatos - and somewhere in our conversation, I managed to earn Ferdinand's ire. Unfortunately for him, he called me a liar, and with one thing escalating into the next...I've got a date with him on Sunday. Of course there's nothing romantic about it, as it's just a means to correct the youth and prove that not all of us are horrible animals out to deceive the young lambs.

Apparently I'm not the only diver in these parts.

I suppose I should play to the idea that everyone thinks me to be a horn dog, but it'd a great disservice to our customers were they to catch wind of that. It couldn't be farther from the truth, but defending one's self denotes guilt and a personal interest of being social. By that I mean that I am unwilling to divulge myself and ruin the allure of my position. As such, I must take each insult and remark with a grain of salt, although at this rate I'm going to be buried in said salt. It seems the less phased you are to each barb, the more inspired the lashings become.

I've yet to decide if it's a blessing or a folley for my deal with Ferdinand, although I have a feeling he wont be so forthcoming. So long as I uphold my half of the bargain, I will be satisfied. - BLF

-Viran's meeting will go here.-

On the opposite side, I now have Coyote. I was right, and I'm not entirely sure if I'm happy about that; the man is, for lack of better word, infatuated. He says he's in love, but he only recently met the real me, although I admit he stole handful of kisses from that encounter...something I should not have allowed, but . . . .

I also had a proper meeting with Xan. As proper as can be, given the circumstances. I wont divulge that information here, but that man does baffle me. I see why JJ is so smitten with him, now, having been under the influence of his unintentional charm. I will say only that I've extended my efforts to him should he need an escape. I hope he will take me up on it, if not for his own well being, than at least for my own selfish indulgence. He is quite fun to talk to.

There was an...altercation that happened recently. Something between myself and Remi, over Hae-min...again, the details will not be spilled here for prying eyes. I hope I have made proper ammends, for I see now that he and I wish one in the same. I would give all I could to ensure they find some peace of mind.

It's late, but I'm going to head to the gym. I've got to keep up with all these youngin's somehow. - BLF

June 04

It's about time I used this thing again. Seems more and more crazy makes residence in my life since I've been here.

I found out today that JJ left us. Good for him, I say. This was no place for a kid like him, he's got more ahead of himself than what a Host Club can offer. I hope he chases his dreams and finds peace. I'll need to check on Xan...just in case.

Coyote finally took me up on my offer and we had a proper date. He's very hard to read, so assured of himself one second and self-conscious the next. He's a good young man, has a great sense of humor and actually has a sweet side I didn't think was possible; I am content to be wrong in this. Still, we seem to have only covered a small basis of learning about each other - think 'twenty questions' more than mannerisms and personality. I'm not sure how to handle this...or if he's even interested in that. I'm too set in my ways to have a fling and think nothing of it.

Which brings me, in a round about way, to Kenta. We've had some interesting run ins...that have ended in interesting means. It's the first time in a long time that I've had someone closer than arms length from me. This one is different, because it wasn't on purpose, wasn't intentional at all, but I am...happy. He's so honest, in everything he does. There's no questioning his motives or intent, as he's very straight forward. It's been a while since I last saw him, but I hope that remedies itself soon.

Our friendship isn't exactly a normal one. Suffice to say, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I can't say how he feels on the issue, but I personally am at peace.

Note to self: get a hair cut before the Club opens. - BLF
