Deep inhaling of the large male could be hear from anyone nearby. Mars though in his slumber was arawe of most of the things happening around him. The small chirping and pricking of small animals, the gentle tapping of dew falling to the ground, the light weight in between his shoulder blades. Obsidia remaind nestled in his tinix plumage sleeping peacefully complete faith in th protection of her older brother from this savage jungle. A fast quirk of Mars ear removed the small droplet of water upon it. He cracked open one eyelid, quickly surveyed the area around them, this clearing would not provide as much protection as he would've thought worthy. Obsidia was tired as was he. He could take on most rogue hybrids so he took a chance and slumbered here.
It was dawn. Animals should be out grazing upon the foliage. The perfect time to catch a meal. He rustled his back wings, rubbing them against the small form in between his shoulder blades. "Obsidia," he said deeply," I'm going out for a hunt. Hop off real quick and get up in dat tree over there." He indicated a tropical scrub with a nodd of his head.
The night before Obsidia had fallen asleep as her brother's travels began to take their toll on her. She reclaimed her normal postion in between the powerfully, muscled shoulders of the super tinix she was accompanying. She slept soundly that night knowing that her brother was nearby.
Feeling the rough prodding of powerful feathers she groggily raised her head. Mars said something but was lost in translation with her grogginess,"Wha-?" He nodded towards a tree and she heard something about hunting. She put 2 and 2 together and figured her wanted to go hunting. She slid down Mars' spine and gently flapped her bat-like wings to a low-hanging branch. She scrambled onto the branch and regained her footing. She lowered her body and hid her goosberry green eyes from sight as she continued her sleep.

Soft paws hit the ground as the male Zondou walked along the jungle floor, his webbed paws touching some of the soft moss that covered little of the floor. He walked over twigs, and branches, but tripped when his back paw hooked onto a protruting tree root. He lost his ballance and fell with a loud thud. He slowly got up, rubbing the back of his head with his paw. He stood up, and shook to get the dirt off of his fur, and out of his crimson colored hair. He sighed, and looked around. "Well, I guess this is a good spot for me to rest for now." He said, yawning softly, his large cannines showing. He shook his head, and looked around for something to eat. He'd wandered far from the coast, and got used to eating small rodents, though it didn't appease him like the fish did. He saw a small bug crawl along the root he tripped on, and bent down to smell it. It gave off a rancid oder, and he quickly backed away, batting at his nose to get the smell away. "Eh...ohh..." He whined, and looked down to the bug. "I don't think any animal would eat that." He said, as he sat down and looked for anything else to eat. He paid no attention to the tigon that sat up in the tree above him.

Polaris had only recently left the comfort of the Earth house and the company of his leader Twilight. He had no direction as of yet, but hoped in time he could meet up with his family and speak with them as fondly as he had when they were once all together. The seperations of houses was both good and bad for their family. Ciara and Layla could both find places to belong and get to know many of their own kind and it was true that both he and Stella had found themselves higher ranked positions in these said houses, but at the same time their family was being greatly seperated and this caused a painful burden on the blue colored tigon.
Passing through the awfully uncomfortable Marubi jungle, the tigon did not even notice the pale colored femme up high in the branches of a tree. Had he not been so busy in mind, he may have caught wind of her scent.

Mars stretched making sure to loosen each joint of his spine, first back then forward. The humidity of the area was horrendous, his mane remained plastered to the sides of his face. He gave it a good shake to loosen it up. With a quick glance back up to Obsidia her took off in search of food at his elongated gait.
Not completely asleep yet Obsidia's small auds manuvered their ways over to the sound of the heavy stretched pace of her brother leaving. Knowing her was gone she kept alert, eyes close but every other sense ever watchful. Nose detecting fair scents, ears erect. Speaking of Fair scents, one caught her nose. She opened her bright eyes, lifted her head and gave a short sniff. It was stronger now, that masculine scent, a hint of the scent of a ticorn but everything else was all tigon. She threw her ears forward, "Polaris.." she said softly, her eyes wide searching the dense jungle for any sign of his blue coat or, Mars, large body.

Polaris was growing more and more uncomfortable the further he headed into the jungle. Being one of the Earth House, he was more used to cool weather and bright skies. Glancing up, he realised it may be quite awhile before he sees clearly; The trees appeared to be growing thicker and the foliage covered quite a bit. What furstrated him most, however, was the fact that a familiar scent continued to float towards his nose, but before he could place a paw on whom it was, it always vanished. A worried expression feared the warm temperature and lack of food was playing tricks on the young male.
As he continued forward, he nearly tripped over a large vine that caught his blue colored paw. Polaris' body did not fall, but he leaned forward awkwardly and then paused. Standing erect, his ears were certain they had heard something. As quiet as the words may have been, the quiet of the jungle allowed him to hear. "Corann?" He asked, voice much louder than Obsidias.

She continued searching both the canopy and Jungle floor for Polaris. She was getting anxious, she's wanted to see Polaris for quite some time now and not being able to pick out where he was, was beginning to wear on her nerves. She hesitantly rose to her paws on the branch and continued to search.
One of her ears flashed to her right side. A crash and crumble of leaves reached her ears. She threw her head in that direction, her eyes bright and expectant, tail thrashing behind her. She could make out a vague form through the jungle brush, she craned her neck and leaned forward as far as she could without tumbling of the branch. She grimmaced. She still couldn't see. The she heard a call, "Corann?" she thought. She'd never met Corann before so she didn't understand. Her thougts caught up with her.
What if that wasn't Polaris?
Her heart began to race as she pulled into a small ball beside the trunk of the tree. Her ears drooped, lips steady, grey wings tucked behind her, and Goosberry green orbs wide with fear. She remained silent.

As Polaris continued forward, his form became far more clearer to the hybrid up above on the branch. From her hiding spot, he might have still remained hidden, but if she just craned her neck even slightly, the thin blue tigon was visible. Unlike there prior meetings, however, the tigon did not appear in grand health. His fur was matted down from the humid air, his tail was appearing bony and his wings seemed slightly bruised. It seemed it had taken the male quite some time to get where he was and for, what happened to be, nothing.
Hearing a sudden shuffle in the branches above him, his two sapphire orbs stared upwards. He knew it could not be Corann, but a curiousity came over him. What hybrid would be so fearful as to hide itself from the simple padding of a weak tigon? He laughed a bit, assuming it could be one of many other hybrids. Afterall, the tigons were considered one of the more frightening of the hybrids. Though weak, his chuckle sounded up towards the tree and towards the ear's of the young femme. It was the same familiar chuckle he often used while in her company. If she could not see him still, it would certainly give him away.

Staring straight ahead of herself in the canopy, Obsidia tried to remain as close to invisible as possible. She trembled slightly. This jungle was supposed to be abandoned. Her long cat-like ears swiveled atop her head to a very familiar sound. Gaining a thread of courage she peeked over the side of the branch. She was so excited she almost lost her footing, "Polaris!" she cried happily and violently out stretched her wings and hovered down in front of him. She sat and bowed politely, but barely containing her excitement. She hadn't seen him for such a long time and he happened to be one of the few friends she had. Sapphire orbs met Goosberry green as a smile remained plastered on her face.
She looked him over, a strange habit she picked up from her surrogate mother. He looked terrible. Her face faulted, ears drooped and her mouth took the shape of and 'o', "Polaris? Wha-?" she asked quietly as she took a half-step toward him.

Polaris' eyes widened when he saw the pale colored female suddenly land before him. The expression she wore was one of complete bliss and with that alone, he couldn't help but smile. Instantly he recognised the female as a young hybrid he had met during the Christmas festivities. Obsidia, she was named, and quickly she had become a close friend to the Earth house council member. Though she had shown a great deal of energy in her greeting, the male couldn't offer the same. His fur was still matted down uncomfortably and still, he was not used to the horrid temperatures.
"Obsidia...?" A smirk spread across Polaris' maw when he stepped closer to get a better look. What tigon would enjoy this area to relax in? Polaris, himself, had only been venturing through. By the femme's expression, Polaris could tell that he looked just about as good as he had felt at the moment. With a half smile, he offered the female comfort, "I'm doing fine, just a bit hot is all.." He let out a chuckle and then continued on, "But, what are you doing here? Are you alone?" Memories of the young female fearing for her own safety returned to Polaris and he couldn't help but laugh aloud again.

She smiled again though this time it spread from cheek to cheek revealing a few of her small, sharp teeth. She was happy to see Polaris was at least in good spirits despite his condition. She took a few steps closer to him so that she was at least within his prescence but not to close for comfort. Her smile softened to a grin as she looked up at his blue face.
Her ears went forward at his question and she looked to the ground for answers. What was she doing here? And where is here? "Uhm," she started in a small unsteady vioce, "I-I really don't know." she eered back up to him. "I was with, Mars, my brother and he said he was going hunting." she paused trying to remember exactly what he said, "I think." she added quickly. She slowly wrapped her tail around her forepaws where she sat and shook her sticking mane out of her face. the humidity was beginning to get to her as well.

Much of his discomfort was beginning to wear off as he watched the beautifully marked young female before him. Although he had never thought of her as anything other than a friend, he could not admit that she was growing to become quite the tigon. Dazzling lime green eyes complimented her light colored fur. With another chuckle and a shake of his head, he nudged his head to motion the two of them begin to walk, "There has to be a clearing here somewhere.. lets walk while we talk.. the heat is awful..." As he padded through the jungle, his tail swayed behind him. With every other step, he glanced behind towards Obsidia; the large, blue male never wished to leave her behind.
When Obsidia answered his question, Polaris found himself looking back with a smile. Though she had appeared to mature physically, he couldn't say she acted any differently. Obsidia seemed to always have an air of innocence about her. Perhaps that was why Polaris, himself, had taken it in his own hands to offer her protection and ensure that nothing ever happened to her. Her innocence was something that could be easily taken advantage of and the tigon male would see that it didn't happen. "Mars, eh?" His expression contorted into one of disgust, though quickly he shook it away, "Would he mind if I took you away with me?" Polaris knew the answer, though was nearly as eager as he was willing to leave the jungle.

She trotted after Polaris as he began to walk. She was still a good head shorter than him but she had grown since that christmas. Her legs became fuller and body a tad bit more toned but she still retained her small frame. Her tail bounced lightly behind her until she caught up to Polaris and was within speaking distance to the blue tigon. She caugh a glimps of Polaris face as it screwed up in a look of disgus maybe after she mentioned her brother. She giggled quietly. She found it amusing that two of the few hybrids she knew didn't like each other that much and as if on key Polaris asked her if he could take her away.
This hit her like a bullet in the chest.
She stopped short, holding a blank stare to nothing in particular. A whirlwind of scenarios came flooding to her: good and bad. She saw Mars, furious face and Polaris ready for combat, she saw herself being swept away living happily with Polaris by her side, she saw herself being attacked by unknown figures and no one there to protect her. She was abandoned. Her eyes became wide and breathing haggared, "I-I don't think he'd let you." she looked at him fear growing stronger inside her, her voice began to crack, "T-Take m-me away to where?"

Polaris slowed as Obsidia began to walk after him so the two would be able to walk alongside one another. Through his desire to leave the jungle, Polaris did not realise how forward his statement might have come off. He knew there was a great bond between Mars and Obsidia, but the blue colored tigon had no intentions of keeping Obsidia, he only meant for awhile. Long enough for the two to cool off and become more comfortable. There was so much catching up to do! Polaris had not spoken to someone since he had entered the Earth house and he was eager to talk things over with Obsidia.
Not completly aware of the stopping female, Polaris only turned back when he heard her rough breathing. With a look of concern, the male padded towards Obsidia, certain to pause before he became too close to her, "Obsidia? That is fine, we can stay here! I only meant to go on a walk!" He was not shouting, but he hoped what he said was clearly translated to the other. It seemed what he said had come off rather foolish and he felt like an idiot for assuming the younger female would understand what he had meant.
