The place known as twilight looks almost like the world of the living and almost like the world of the dead. There's no light, obviously, but an eerie glow coming from somewhere behind your back no matter how you turn. This place is so unnerving and discomforting that it makes you want to give in to a restful, calling feeling constantly shining at the corner of your mind. That shining call is what makes twilight a very dangerous place to travel. It's the calling of death, always there, always waiting and it will win you over if you lose control for a second. Many experienced travelers have lost their way in this place by thinking of something else for a blink of an eye. You must concentrate on your target constantly or you will be lost in this abyss for ever, looking for something never found, fleeing the shining of death.
My task is hard, for I don't know my way to the person. But there's another way to find things here. I look for those small, dark spots in twilights fog, the fog that is natural to this place. Those spots are souls of living things. If I get close enough, I can see the souls identity, it's essence, the thing that makes every human, faerie and even demon it's own master over it's own destiny.
