They say love is like a fire,
Candles, torch, or burning embers,
Always lit by a path of desire,
But as fires go out so too may love wither.
A light that burns twice as hot
Will also go out twice as fast.
Wood or wick, the remains will rot,
All things die, nothing can last.
So enjoy the moment while you have it,
Remember that eternity is not forever.
All things have a limit, nothing is infinite,
The time you have is a precious treasure.
She's gone away, didn't leave a single token,
No explanation or more hugs and kisses.
Now my heart has been shattered, broken
I have to find a way to put back all the pieces.
A new flame may emerge where an old one died.
The end doesn't have to be where true love lied.
New fuel, new ignition, and a new campsite.
Somewhere I will find a bright new light.
As one door closes another opens, so walk through and start over.
This is the time to carve a new path, time to make a new future.

Kojoro's Poetry
I'll post poems, sonnets, haiku, and similar writings here as I write them. Some might be about love and romance, others about war and death, a few might even be about the meaning of life. We'll just have to wait and see what ideas flow from my mind
