A short drabble that a did for Hopie. Its a Wally/TJ drabble from TJ's point of view. Its very short and to the point. As with all of my writing I'm not keen on it, even if I do like the last line. Let me know what you think okay? n___n

Comprehension

She was known for never smiling and never laughing, as though she was incapable of feeling anything positive.

In truth? TJ doesn’t think she is actually capable of smiling.

Smirking and mocking glances for sure but a smile takes too much effort.

When someone smiles it means they are happy. TJ's never felt joy and she's never had the urge to smile or laugh.

Perhaps when she was young, full of innocence and naivety. Before Jay took over and ruined everything she had; then maybe she had possessed the ability to feel joy and happiness, possessed the ability to smile and laugh...

Things such as innocence fade when someone you trust hurts you that badly.

But when she's with Wally... it's as though someone has turned on a nightlight. A really powerful nightlight that battles against the darkness that she can’t seem to rid within herself...

When she is with Wally...smiling doesn't seem so hard.

That’s the funny thing about being with Wally West. Wally has a really big heart. He loves everyone, regardless of the mistakes they have made. It's Wally's big heart that brought her back from the abyss.

It's Wally who helps her to remember who she once was; and of course who she is.

TJ isn't sure what love is. But when she's with Wally? She thinks she has an idea.
