7:58 p.m.
Senny ceased the muttered narration and flipped too many pages out of place unknowingly then continued on as though the voice had been that of her own conscience, "Den, Co- Did I just say 'den?' Then," she continued, shrugging it off, "Corey stood trembling, rooted on the spot, as Barlow's head inclined toward him. 'And you shall yet have your vegeance on those who would fill themselves while others want.' Corey Bryant sank into a deep forgetful river, and that river was time, and its waters were red."
"Well dat dun make sense," Black Forest Dream pouted, crossing his arms disapprovingly.
"Ooh, I skipped some pages, sorr-eeeee," she said, realizing she she was talking to her new Scoop rather than her sense of logic. She fumbled with her glasses and put them on then quickly head back to her bookshelf, book still in hand. "Dream?" she asked, ready to scream at his adorable expression.
"Well who'dja s'pect? So what happins? You were'ent makin sensees, Mudder," he said, looking up at her sadly, wishing she hadn't stopped reading just to greet him, the story had been getting good.
"Oh, right..." Senny said, flipping back tentatively. "Actually," she said, inspecting the page, "I really don't think you should be hearing this stuff, maybe when you're older I'll let you read it." She smiled weakly, knowing she was doing the right thing but sad to disappoint him.
Before Dream had a chance to rebel, Raspberry walked in, a small chunk of her cotton candy like hair missing. "SHE BIT MEEE" she whined, pointing over to the playful Capracan who seemed quite content with herself.
"Oh lordy, Razzie, come ove-" Senny began before Raspberry's curiousity interfered.
"Who's dat?" she asked, pointing to the Scoop in the silver bowl, ignoring her petty hair problem.
Senny walked over and picked Raspberry up, carrying her to the bookshelf and seeting her next to the bowl, where the two Scoops tilted their heads, analyzing one another. "Razzie, this is Black Forest Dream, your little brother," she said warmly, "And Dream, this is your sister Raspberry."
"What happent to your haywer?" he asked observantly, pointing to the chunk.
"Brotha?" she said, still looking at him before recoiling at his questions. "How rude! It's nunya bizness," she harumphed.
Dream looked up at Senny, "Mudder what's wuh'ooood?" he asked curiously.
Senny groaned, "Um, Razzy, don't be so mean, he's just a baby. Dream, it means being disrespectful to one's feelings, which you weren't, Raspberry was just being silly," she said with a nervous smile, hoping they were going to get along.
"Diswees'pectfool," he pondered the big word, oh the adjectives he could use for stories as long as he lived here. He yawned, "Mudder, can oo wead to me agayn? I wike yous storeees." He looked up at her sweetly with a bashful smile.
Senny felt as if she could melt at that look, "Raz, I'm gonna be reading so if you want you can go to your Cold Room," she said looking to the elder Scoop.
"No, I wanna listen too," she said, taking a seat next to her 'brother's' bowl, he wasn't going to take all of Senny's attention, not as long as she was around.
"Great!" she said enthusiastically, pulling out The Gunslinger. "This is a western quest type 'a story, Dream," she told her little Scoop happily, beginning to read to the two the tale of the gunslinger Roland.
