The House of Light

User Image

Light House Diary

The House of Light originated in the Razorback Mountains where it flourished for years. The members, peaceful in nature, were disbanded when the House of Darkness came in. They were scattered, but the largest group, the ones that kept the House of Light title, gathered again in Pheonix Grove. However, they were still very reserved and the House was not very organized. A tigon washed up in the Grove one night and slowly started to reorganize the once prestigious House of Light. Maion gathered a council around and went to work.

Rules
-- No conspiring If you have any problems with something, bring it up with a council member. The Light House has an "Open door" policy...things do not get done if you just complain among yourselves.
-- No barging into Council Meetings For the most part, the Council Meetings are exclusive. This really just has to do with actually getting things done. There will be an "All welcome to attend" meeting one week before the House Ritual. At these meetings, the agenda will have: Updates, Ritual Nominations, Questions, etc.

House Acceptance
(As stated in DWH) "House Acceptance--350 EP--5DWP--250 Gold-- Makes your hybrid an official member of the house it has been participating in. Gold charges only apply if you equip house amulet to hybrid picture."

There is more that you need to do, however. The House of Light is like a guild, a large family. Because of this, there is a ritual to enter. If you meet the House Acceptance requirements, you will still need to wait for Official House acceptance.

Once a month, the Council will gather and you will need to RP your hybrid accordingly. If you missed the ritual, you will need to wait until the next one. More information will be given when there is more interest.

Maion looked over the Grove. A few members from the previously powerful Light House were milling around. She was a tigon, and with her words and passion was able to convince the tinix's to follow her to rebuild the House. It was difficult, and she knew some would despise her for it.... but she could make it work! She had to!

Uncurling herself, Maion hopped to another tree. This one was larger than the others. This was the tree that the tigon had picked for the Council's base.

White fangs shone as Maion smiled, spotting out the three she had chosen for her Council... soon.... they would have the chance to rebuild!

Stella approached her tigon leader, stern look on her face as she examined the area that Maion had chosen for their house. It was a beautiful tree and would be a perfect place to have house gatherings and the like. She admired the determination the tigon held, but was not at all thrilled at following below the leadership of a tigon for the Light House. During the many years in the past the Light House had been run by amazing tinixs that had truly caused the house to flourish. In hopes to have the same affect, Stella wished to have a tinix lead the house. It was almost ironic that a tigon, the usual leader of the dark house, would be leading the light house. The issue was unsettling to the beautifully marked super and it left her suspicious of all of Maion's actions.

Glancing about the area, she nodded, as if in approval, "The terrain is perfect, Maion," she exclaimed. She spoke the truth, although not eager to say it she would continue to respect her leader and follow orders and decisions made by her. Maion had choosen Stella as second in command and Stella would prove that she deserved that status.

Trailing behind both Maion and Stella was a younger tinix. Her charcoal pelt with black leopard spots was offset with her wild fire colored feathers and plumes. Her golden orbs scanned the area critically, slowly.
She found the idea of Maion being the new house leader to be quite a choice. A tigon, the sworn enemy of the tinix, ruling it house; she had to keep herself from laughing. Not being born to this house, she was somewhat indifferent to who lead it, after all she felt little attachment towards the house, it was just a place to belong. Being on the house council was also something that amused her, but she took it seriously whenever she had to. She had seen much of the world and expirenced a lot in her short life, but she wasnt sure why she was on the council. She shrugged the thought off and came back to her reality, she always had a habbit of thinking more then was necessary.
Arwing's eyes also fell upon the tree Maion had chosen, it seemed so large. This grove was ancient, she knew that, but she had never imagined trees could grow so massive and intwining in the way they had. Her ears fell back as she quickly lost inerest, here eyes moving away from Maion and Stella again, getting lost in yet another thought.

Stella heard the smaller tinix approaching and turned over, only to find out whom would be joining them. When she spotted a second council member, and a fellow tinix at that, she smiled warmly and approached her. Her large starry wings and feathery plume waved impressively as she spoke. "Greetings. Arwing, I suppose?" She questioned, trying to keep her tone from sounding rude. Stella had a slightly pompous air about her she constantly had to repress. The status of second in command, becoming a super and her elder position in her family had all contributed to it.

Looking her over, Stella tried to remember back to whether or not the two had met. When certain she had never greeted her before, she continued to speak, "What do you feel of our lea-location?" She asked, nearly becoming too comfortable with another hybrid of her kind.

Arwings ears perked lightly as she looked to Stella, her thought leaving her with the inturuption.
"oh, yes, that is me."
She looked at stella evenly for a moment, not thinking to bow to her, not because she was rude, but because the thought just wasnt there. Arwings eyes narrowed lightly, curiously, at Stella's slip. Her expression faded again, her shoulders shrugging.
"It is a nice place. It seems promising here. I wouldnt know where else we would go without treading upon the territory of another."
Her expression stayed even and friendly as her golden orbs moved over Stella lightly. She wasnt sure how she felt about her, but she wasnt going to let this meeting set her judgement.

Embarassed and almost ashamed of what she had nearly said, she bowed lightly to the other and continued speaking as politely as possible. It would be a horrid beginning to meet enemies already in her own house, especially so close to her in position. The council was choosen to help aid the house not slowly tear it apart with anger and hostility. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you Arwing. I had been hoping to see you sooner or later." Spoken entirely sincere, Stella was glad that the situation did not become something horrible.

Silently deciding that Arwing may be a bit too indifferent on the council, she tried to await a better meeting of the tinix. This was their first meeting and it was nearly obvious by both of their behaviors that the sight of the tigon leader was unnerving.

Maion watched the interaction of the two tinix council members. Immediately, she was confident in her choices. Stella would make a superb second-in-command...even if the tigon would have to watch her back in the future. The confidence and pride of the Super Tinix was evident, and what tinix would allow a tigon? Well.... looks like at least two, so far. Maybe the others would be open-minded to allow such a thing.

Her sharp gaze strayed to the smaller tinix, Arwing in her amazing and contrasting colors. Maion couldn't help a slight smirk. The kitten was completely detached from the going-ons...but regardless, the tigon thought Arwing still had an abundance of things to offer the Council.

One more work make the Council complete.... and Maion kept an eye out for her.

"I hope this location is acceptable to the both of you," Maion said, sizing-up those on the Council when they finished introductions. "Even though I Lead the Light House, I hope you will still bring up issues and topics. Do not be concerned with speaking your mind, I do not want discord.... although I know it will be impossible to avoid." The tigon smiled as sweetly as she could, although the whole time she was conscious to her sharp fangs.

Arwing nodded lightly to Stella, casual yet polite. She, growing up the way she did, held little acceptence to the idea that any hybrid would be above her. In her mind, all were either at the same level she was or below her. Her golden orbs slowly rolled over to Maion, whom she also nodded to in the same manner.
"It seems like a good place to roost. Only time will prove it to be true, however."
She became lightly aware of her impartial actions, but did little to right them. She mearly returned a smile lightly to Maion and turned her gaze away again, looking off into the west at the darkness that always loomed there, not matter how brightly the sun glowed.

Although Stella's main focus was on the other tinix she spoke with, she could feel the tigon leader's eyes looking over her. With a faint smile, she too looked in Maion's direction, bowing respectfully. She could see that Maion wore a proud expression on her face and naturally Stella felt a great deal of guilt. Possibly she was being too hard on their new leader. Tigon or not, Maion was intending to do her very best for the house.

Hearing Maion's voice caused the super tinix to smile only more broadly. It pleased her that the tigon trusted both Stella and Arwing so strongly to allow them to speak their very mind. Stella would do just that because although she was not certain of the tigon completely her best intentions were with the house and it's wellbeing. From what she had heard as well it seemed the dark house was gaining more members and would possibly draw more attention to the other hybrids. Rumor or fear, this was not pleasant news to the ears of the super tinix.

Glancing back over to Stella and Maion for a moment, Arwing nodded to excuse herself from the meeting and slipped away without a sound. She took to a nearby tree, then flew to the next, weaving her way through the grove. She paused, freezing on the branch she landed on as if she was a part of it. She held her wings tightly to her back, hoping the tree cover would be enough to hide her. Wild gold orbs watched carefully as she saw a small group of hybrids making their way through the grove. She recognized some of them as light house members or guests, all chatting lightly to each other. Behind this small group she noticed a small Black Tigon. Her ears folded back lightly, recongizing the small, out of place hybrid as Kobbeh.

Stella was not bothered by Arwing's sudden disappearance, but as she watched the female go a curiosity grew within her. Arwing's gaze was locked on some sort of creature in the distance and with her constant desire of knowledge, she wished to find out exactly who it was.

Bowing politely to Maion, Stella asked her leave and began in the same direction Arwing had. To keep herself from seeming as if she merely followed her, she kept to the ground and looked out forward in search of the line of Arwing's gaze. From where the other was, high up in the tree, the being of interest was probably clear. On the ground, where Stella walked, nothing could be seen. Both frustrated and still curious, Stella continued forward with hopes of learning what or who it may be.

Hearing coversations nearing, Stella noticed something at last! A group of light house members were walking throughout of the grove. Many of them were tinix, but one stood out prominantly. Having only heard of Kobbie before, Stella did not recognise her personally. What she did notice, however, was that the house was being led and followed by tigons.

Socially outcast by most of her peers, Kobbeh took her place at the back of the group. She didnt know why she continued to tag along with them, even though they didnt accept her. They were all worthless anyhow; Tinix that were so full of themselves that had no respect for any other species or anyone that didnt fall within their strict standards. Sorrow was held behind her cold green rimmed brown eyes as Kobbeh glanced up at the group, even though her head was hung. Her wings hung akwardly at her sides, as if they were too big for her small frame. Her ears were rather large as well, yet her frame was delicate and small. She looked like a runt, she was the same size as the young tinix, but certain parts of her (her ears, paws and wings) were rather large and didnt match her frame. Her tail, on the other hand, was very stuby and was only a third of the length of a normal tigon tail. This young tigon stood out sorely among the chattering group and eventually stopped to rest on one of the large roots of the ancient trees. She watched the group go with little mind and saw a glimpse of Stella just up ahead, but she didnt care, she was probably no better then the rest of the tinix kind. Her claws gripped deeply into the bark of the root as she looked up towards the canopy--it was so high one could almost mistake the thick green leaves to be the sky. She sighed a lonely sigh, wishing her mother would come back, she hadnt seen her in days. Her ears fell back lightly as she brought her gaze back down to a patch of brightly colored mushrooms growing at her feet. She hunched her shoulders up lightly and breathed a small purple flame upon them and watched as they burned and turned to ashes.

Their unnofficial meeting officially over, Maion decided it was time for some rounds in the Grove. She was sure the members were doing fine, but the tigon was worried intruders might come and lay the House in ruins once again.

It was then that she noticed the group and the tigon that stepped away. Maion couldn't help but see that the two Council members were also watching the group, and the tigon in particular. Remotely interested, the Leader of the Light House watched the tigon, knowing that her name was Kobbeh.

The wind picked up, and Kobbeh's scent drifted to Maion's nostrils. Almost immediately, her hackles raised. Catching herself, the tigon snorted and turned to walk away. For some reason, she was supicious of the other tigon....maybe it was just her feeling territorial. Secretly, Maion hoped so.

Arwing watched Kobbeh mildly, eyes narrow and suspicious of the young tigon. She watched the young one light mushrooms on fire for a few more moments before unfolding her wings and gliding silently back to the main tree Maion had chosen for the house. She perched herself on a small branch, still glancing back in the direction kobbeh was. Something about that hybrid troubled her, but she wasnt sure what.

Kobbeh sat for a long while before she finally grew bored of her task and slowly started to pad towards the tree again. The other young tinix had most likely already returned to their families by now, so kobbeh desided to find a place to call home too. She slowly slunk between through the thick foliage, wanting to avoid stella and any of the other hybrids. As she moved through the thick covering, she started to wander futher and futher away from the main core of the house. The forest had grown darker and quieter, no longer filled with quiet tinix songs. She spread out her wings and flew up to a low branch of a tree to try and figure out where she had wandered too. Her soft ears perked, nose lightly sniffing the air, she was still in the grove and if she listened hard enough she could still pick up on the soft chatter of the tinix. She curled up lightly upon the branch, desiding that his place was right for her, here she would be a trouble to no one, here she would not be an ugly disgrace to the house. But what if mother returned while she was here? she wouldnt, kobbeh had a feeling that she was now alone. Her eyes wandered away from the house and into the dark forest, soft beams of light breaking through the thick canopy sending an unearthly and eerie beam to the earth in some places. She liked it here, she liked the darkness and the quiet...
