Everyone else in the class giggled as Thenin stood up. “Supposedly, according to scripture, in the beginning there was only God. He sought to separate all of his great and immense power into separate groups, and so he brought forth three children; one was Rokes, another was Xenath, and the third was the youngest and most powerful of the three. We know little of what happened next but we do know that, Rokes and Xenath rebelled against God, for though they hated each other; they hated their Father even more. The youngest rose up to protect god and when he was going to smite his elderer brother and sister and cast forever from this world their darkness and hate; God forbid it, for his compassion for all of his children was too great, and so seizing the opportunity Rokes and Xenath rose up and smote their youngest brother and he was cast into shadow. For this they were cast from heaven, still retaining their power, to the world.” Thenin sighed and sat back down; he hoped he had gotten it correct.
“Very good Thenin, apparently you have the head for scripture.” Thenin blushed as another giggle arose in the class. The preacher turned back around and began writing on the Slate in the front of the church, with a piece of white rock. Thenin looked back down at his desk. Thenin paused in thought for a moment, then raised his hand and waited for the preacher to notice. “Yes Thenin?” The preacher asked looking down at Thenin with a slight frown.
“What do the scriptures say about killing?” Thenin asked in his most innocent voice. The preacher’s frown deepened a little.
