Gifted.
One grade 7 class in an ordinary school has just discovered each one of them has a special gift, a gift that could someday save the world. Soon the class gets transferred to another school, A school of the abnormally gifted. Now, they have to discover their new gifts, study new tactics of battle and be prepared to a whole new way of school.
“What?” Amy asked, “What do you mean that we’re getting transferred??? Are we not good enough for this school?!”
“Its not that,” Mr. Liu said, “Each one of you have been tested positive for having abnormal gifts.”
“What are you talking about? Our grades aren’t that good are they?” said Destiny.
“No your grades are fine, it’s just that you all have powers that normal people don’t.” Mr. Liu said.
“So we are smart?” Jillian asked.
“No - I mean yes, you are smart but,”
“But what?” Amy asked.
“You all have Super powers.” Mr. Liu blurted out.
The class stared blankly into space. They couldn’t believe what they just heard.
“ Pshh super powers? C’mon what are we three? Man you are seriously messed UP.” Kevin said.
Our principal was silent.
“We can’t really have super powers can we?” said Natasha.
“ Of course we can’t it is biologically impossible.” said Justin.
Justin was always the book worm in our class. He couldn’t just say no without making it more complicated than it should be. No one really could understand what he was trying to say. He wouldn’t just say the answer, he would explain and explain like there was no end to it. He had absolutely no friends at all. Some people tried to reach out to him but he’d just be reading his books around the clock.
Mr. Liu looked down at his shoes.
“You do have superpowers. Try. Then you’ll see”
So, then we tried. One guy lifted up a desk with ease, but we always knew he could do that. One girl could run extremely fast but she always did that. We all tried to do different things but they turned out to be the things that we always did. The only thing weird was that Jillian could move a pencil without touching it. We all just figured it was the wind.
After 20 minutes we stilled tried to find our powers. Nothing but the usual happened.
Mr. Liu started to hand out forms.
“Get all these signed by tomorrow, no late exceptions.” Mr. Liu said,
We all got very tense.
“ Everyone meet by at the bus loop at 8:30am SHARP. Anyone late will not attend to our emergency trip.”
“Emergency trip? What ‘Emergency Trip’ ? Jane whispered.
“I dunno what’s going on here but I telling you it can’t be good.” Destiny said.
“Why are we getting this stupid emergency trip anyways?” Amy asked.
“I dunno, maybe Mr. Liu has finally lost it.” Jillian said.
