Chapter 5
“Okay uhm guys, we gotta crack the ice, get water, get dirt, mix it together and make mud.” said Amy.
“Kay, I’ll crack the ice.” Jillian said.
“I’ll get the dirt. Ew.” Destiny said.
“I’ll help you get the dirt, I guess. Ew.” Amy said.
“And I won’t do anything !” Jane said happily.
“No you don’t, you gonna help me get the water.” Jillian said.
We all pitched in and tired to get mud so the log will slide off. Jane and Jillian tried to get the ice to crack but the needed something sharp. Suddenly, Jane remembered that she had found a rock the other day that was still in her pocket.
“What the hell are we supposed to do with a rock?” Jillian said. “It’s a rock.”
“You got anything in your pockets?” Jane asked.
“I don’t have pockets! I never do!” Jillian exclaimed.
“What about your sweater.” Jane asked.
“Ummm, just some sandpaper I stole from wood shop on Tuesday.” Jillian said. “ And my nail filer because I keep screwing up my nails.”
“Oh my god !” Jane exclaimed. “Pass my the sand paper! Meanwhile, you use the sharp end of your nail filer and hit it against the ice.”
“Uhm, okay.” Jillian said confused.
Meanwhile,
“Okay lets get the dirt.” said Amy.
“Lemme just relax a bit.” Destiny said.
Destiny enrolled in a yoga club to help her relax. There was too much stress from school life, and social life.
“Let me just find my centre then we can start.” Destiny said.
A calm look came on Destiny’s face. She felt relaxed and mellow. She put he hands on the ground and began to relax. Suddenly the ground began to shake.
“EARTHQUAKE!” Jane yelled.
Destiny was still at peace in full lotus position. Suddenly, an enormous pillar of earth came jotting out of no where from the ground. At that moment, Destiny opened her eyes.
“Whoa.” Destiny said. “It looked like a lawnmower threw up.”
There were cracks in the earth and everything fell over. It had look like a tornado it this place.
“I still need help over here.” Nathan said.
“Oh sorry!” Jane said.
Jane quickly scooped up some of the water from the pond. Luckily, the sudden earthquake broke the ice so they were able to get the water they needed. Amy scraped off some of the dirt from the earth pillar and mixed the two together. They kept doing so until they finally made enough mud to put on Nathan’s hands.
“Okay ready Nathan?” Jane asked.
“JUST PUT THE DIRT ALREADY!” Nathan yelled.
We wiped the dirt on Nathan’s hands.
“Okay guys lets push it on 3.” Destiny said. “1,2,3!”
We all pushed the log off of Nathan. Just then, Nathan collapsed! Sue came rushing in from the other room.
“It’s alright he’s gonna be fine.” Sue said. “Let’s go into the next room. It’s lunch time.”
