Or stuck. At least he’s out and trying. Bio Heret was born the second son to a Lord in the far reaches of the kingdoms. Unfortunately for the young hart, he didn’t match up to his father’s standards of greatness. He preferred to paint over fight. Preferred peace over war. And, worst of all, his coat was golden colored instead of the monochrome designs that his family’s line was so proud of. Had his father not known of his wife’s loyalty to him, he would have suspected his youngest of being the result of an affair. But even knowing that Heret was of his own blood didn’t keep his father from trying to make life miserable for his ‘disgrace’. Heret quietly took this hate and struggled to survive despite it. From the time he was barely out of his thicket to the time that he was a young adult, he lived with abuse in both physical and emotional form. But finally, he realized that his father’s cruelty had spread beyond just him. His father had become a cruel leader who was at risk of trying to threaten the noble family for total rule. Things were fast becoming out of control and so, together with his older brother, Heret decided that the only way to stop the madness was to get rid of his own father. Plans were made and deeds were plotted. But things didn’t go as planned. Their father found out, and in an unspeakable act of cruelty, blinded his son and left him to die. Luckily his brother was there to help him escape from his father’s land. They made the slow journey to the other side of the kingdom. Heret settled down and made a new home for himself while his brother returned home to try to follow through with their plans. Heret soon after met a kind female named Lumi and the pair of them became mates soon after. Balin helped his brother escape from their father's region of rule and then returned to try to kill the other hart himself. He failed and was nearly blinded himself as a result. He was disowned by his family because of his actions and never wants to make the same mistake. His family was fairly well ranking in this herd. They weren't at the top of society, but they were far from the bottom of it. Etozat took advantage of this high class and was well known through the herd as an arrogant hart who loved to stretch the rules. He was young, bold, and thought that nothing in the world could stop him. It was this attitude that blinded him to the consequences when he let himself fall in love with a hind who was already set to be bethroted to another buck in the herd. And she was not some common female either. She was Elaine, the daughter of their herd's ruler. Neither of them were thinking when they snuck off again and again to be together. That is, until she grew pregnant. Elaine's mother, ever eager for grandbabies, had laced her daughter's food with Liquid Love. When her pregnancy was discovered, Elaine's intended announced in outrage that he was not the father. Etozat and Elaine's friendship was not well hidden and he was soon discovered as the actual father. The news of their affair sped through the herd like a tidal wave and immediatly, Etozat was labeled as a disgrace, his honor gone. And if that wasn't bad enough, a few months later, Elaine passed away during childbirth. Her parents, distraught at the loss of their only child, blamed the distraught Etozat. He was banished from the herd, his wings tattered and broken for his crimes.
After that, with no where else to go, Etozat wandered for years. Eventually he ended up in land ruled by the Three Clans, but by then, he was a different hart. He was quiet, reserved, and wiser for his troubles.
